Evgeniy Khmara: Ukraine is ready to develop a win-win partnership with Japan

Ukraine is ready to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation with Japan and offers its partners a win-win model that makes both sides stronger.
Minister of Defence of Ukraine Evgeniy Khmara made the statement during a meeting with a delegation of members of the House of Representatives of Japan’s National Diet, led by Itsunori Onodera.
The Minister of Defence of Ukraine thanked Japan for its economic and humanitarian support for Ukraine. He also briefed the Japanese delegation on the battlefield situation and the most critical threats posed by russia.
We value having our partners stand with us during these difficult days, as russia has intensified its aerial terror against Ukrainian civilians.
According to Evgeniy Khmara, Ukraine is interested in Japan’s engineering support to build modern hospitals to treat Ukrainian service members. Japanese equipment could also significantly improve recovery outcomes for wounded Ukrainian defenders.
The Minister of Defence of Ukraine emphasized that protecting the lives and health of Ukrainian service members is a priority for the state.
For his part, Itsunori Onodera reaffirmed Japan’s continued support for Ukraine.
