Evgeniy Khmara: Intensifying deep strike operations against russia is a key priority
Ukraine will step up pressure on facilities that support russia’s war against our country. Acting Minister of Defence of Ukraine Evgeniy Khmara made the statement while commenting on the results of Ukraine’s operation against Novorossiysk.
We will bring the russian war machine to a halt — we will destroy its infrastructure, fleet, logistics, fuel and energy facilities, and enterprises that support the war against Ukraine.
According to the Acting Minister of Defence, the operation against Novorossiysk was unique. The combined strike involved missiles, jet-powered drones, and maritime drones.
Evgeniy Khmara emphasized that russia proved powerless against the synchronized employment of Ukraine’s strike capabilities.
Strengthening synergy within the Defence Forces
Evgeniy Khmara noted that the operation’s success was made possible by joint efforts and growing synergy within the Defence Forces of Ukraine.
He thanked Ukrainian warriors for their precision and Ukrainian weapons manufacturers for solutions that expand Ukraine’s ability to strike the enemy in depth.
Intensifying deep strike operations against russia is a key priority. Together with Commander-in-Chief Mykhailo Drapatyi, the General Staff, the Unmanned Systems Forces, the Security Service of Ukraine, other components of the Defence Forces, and manufacturers, we will continue to increase this pressure.
According to him, further joint steps were agreed at a meeting chaired by the President of Ukraine.
Compelling russia to a just peace
The Acting Minister of Defence emphasized that Ukraine’s operations will become increasingly difficult to counter.
Ukrainian weapons will become available in greater numbers, strikes will become more precise, and pressure on russia will intensify. This is necessary to achieve the objective set by the President: compelling russia to a just peace.
