Ensuring the provision of drones to brigades remains a key priority for the Ministry of Defence

Ukraine's Defence Minister Rustem Umerov held a working meeting with representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection, and the Ministry of Defence.

A detailed analysis was conducted during the meeting on providing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to military units. The participants analyzed data for each military unit, including the number of drones currently in use, those held in storage, and those lost during operations.

In 2024, a significant number of drones—bombers, reconnaissance, FPV, and other types of UAVs—have already been delivered to the military. This work continues uninterrupted, even amid changes in the market,” said Rustem Umerov.

During the meeting, plans for December and the first quarter of 2025 were discussed, focusing on the supply of 'night' drones and new DeepStrike models capable of striking targets deep behind enemy lines. Nearly 30,000 units of these drones have already been contracted.

“Thanks to systematic efforts, the number of UAV crews in the military has increased sevenfold over the past year, demonstrating how rapidly the role of drones in modern warfare is growing. Equipping brigades with drones is our priority, and the Ministry of Defense team is making every effort to ensure these deliveries remain uninterrupted,” the Defence Minister emphasized.

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine continues to equip the military with modern warfare tools, implementing effective solutions to enhance the country's defense capabilities.
