During a working visit to Berlin, Ukraine's Defence Minister Rustem Umerov held discussions with German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius on specific steps to bolster Ukraine's battlefield positions.

The primary focus of the meeting was enhancing air defense. Rustem Umerov discussed with his German counterpart the possibility of accelerating the delivery of IRIS-T systems and related munitions, which is crucial for protecting Ukrainian cities and the frontline.

The discussion also covered the potential establishment of joint air defense manufacturing projects, a vital step toward enhancing European security.

The parties also raised the issue of armored vehicle maintenance to facilitate their rapid return to operational status. Special emphasis was placed on cooperation with European companies both in acquiring critical defense assets and in co-producing them.
