Enemy equipment detected in 2 seconds: The Ministry of Defence showcased DELTA and Avengers systems at the London Defence Conference

The Ministry of Defence showcased its innovative developments and achievements in military digitalization at the London Defence Conference. 

Specifically, Ministry of Defence representatives highlighted the functionality of the DELTA combat system and the impact of artificial intelligence, using the AI-based Avengers platform as an example. The platform can identify 70% of enemy vehicles and equipment in video streams, with Avengers capable of detecting a single unit in just 2.2 seconds.

The London Defence Conference is the largest security conference in the United Kingdom, opened each year by the UK Prime Minister. 

Established in 2022 following russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, it aims to elevate the significance and visibility of defense and security in the face of global threats.

During this year’s conference, the Ukrainian delegation also took part in several panel discussions on global European security.

Deputy Minister of Defence Kateryna Chernohorenko stressed during her address that technological solutions will be the foundation of future peace, and Ukraine stands ready to contribute in this regard.

“Technological superiority on the battlefield is one of the key factors in modern warfare. Ukraine has already demonstrated that drones can be a game-changer, even against an enemy with superior manpower and equipment,” said Kateryna Chernohorenko, Deputy Minister of Defence for Digital Development.

At the same time, she noted that it is not just about drones or other unmanned systems, but the entire ecosystem that supports them. 

“We have created a system where drones in the air, on land, and at sea operate together, delivering precise strikes in real time. The DELTA combat system equips our warriors with situational awareness and enables them to coordinate actions within minutes. This is how we fight smarter,” Chernohorenko stated.

Conference participants acknowledged the Ministry of Defence’s modern and comprehensive approach to the challenges of the war. 

They also highlighted that the Ukrainian Defence Forces’ experience in digitalization could be highly beneficial to foreign countries. Notably, several nations have already expressed interest in the DELTA combat system.
