During the meeting of defense ministers, Lithuania declared plans to boost investments in long-range drone production for Ukraine
While in Brussels, Ukrainian Defence Minister Rustem Umerov talked about enhanced collaboration with Laurynas Kasčiūnas, his counterpart from Lithuania.
“Lithuania is one of Ukraine's most reliable allies, and I am sincerely grateful for the strong support we receive from the Lithuanian government and people,” Rustem Umerov said.
Ukrainian Minister of Defence presented to his colleague the details of President Zelensky's Victory Plan, where NATO membership and modern weaponry are the keys to a just peace.
During the discussions, the Minister of National Defence of Lithuania reaffirmed his country’s commitment to allocate 0.25% of its national GDP to support Ukrainian defense efforts.
“Lithuania also plans to increase investments in the production of long-range drones, which will help us strike targets far beyond the front line,” Rustem Umerov said following the talks.
