DOU Day 2024 conference: Ukrainian developers presented DELTA combat system
DELTA developers presented a combat system at the DOU Day 2024 IT-conference. Representatives of the Innovation Centre of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, major Artem Martynenko and major Serhii Zahriichuk, shared their unique experience in developing MilTech products.
Since the full-scale invasion began, the DELTA system has faced several challenges, including transitioning to cloud resources due to the physical destruction of data-centres by the Russians, scaling of the system and countering major cyberattacks.
“We propagate an ecosystemic approach to implementing IT-solutions in the army. We are developing an integration platform that will allow us to use all the tools to swiftly destroy the enemy – from detection to elimination, as well as planning the use of forces,” said major Artem Martynenko from the Innovation Centre.
The developers spoke about the DELTA products ecosystem and the latest innovation services, which digitalize NATO standards for operation planning process. Of particular interest was the DroneID technology, which integrated domestic drones into the system.
“The DELTA products ecosystem is constantly expanding and offering more and more functionality to our military. Involvement of the civilian IT-community in the development for the military in necessary – we need to move together. An interest in Ukrainian products and involvement in their development is the result we strive for. DELTA is changing the rules of the game in this war,” said Kateryna Chernohorenko, Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine.
For reference: DELTA is a combat system that allows the military to plan operations and see the battlefield in real time, exchange information within a unit, brigade, group and, if necessary, with allies.
