"Direct contracts with Ukrainian arms manufacturers are investments in our defence and economy," Dmytro Klimenkov
The MoD’s Lethal Defence Acquisition Agency signed a number of state contracts to purchase weapons and other defence goods.
The contract signing ceremony was attended by Ukraine's Deputy Minister of Defence, Dmytro Klimenkov, and Ukraine's Minister of Strategic Industries, Oleksandr Kamyshin.
"In order to liberate Ukraine from the invaders, our troops need a continuous supply of weapons, equipment, clothing, and food. To buy everything necessary, the state spends tens of billions of hryvnias. Our primary focus is on supporting the domestic defense industry. Direct contracts with Ukrainian arms manufacturers are investments in our defense and economy. Because these are additional jobs, taxes, and support for our businesses," said Deputy Minister of Defence Dmytro Klimenkov.
Maryna Bezrukova, director of the Lethal Defence Acquisition Agency, underlined the importance of contracts with local businesses in maintaining their stability during the war. "Cooperation with local businesses is extremely important for strengthening the country's defence potential and ensuring its independence," she said.
