Development of the defense industry and drone production: Ukraine and France discuss next steps in cooperation

During a working visit to The Hague, Ukrainian Minister of Defence Rustem Umerov met with French Minister of the Armed Forces Sébastien Lecornu.
The parties discussed further support for Ukraine in the short and long term. The primary focus was on enhancing defense-industrial potential and launching joint projects, particularly in the missile sector.
The ministers reviewed specific measures for implementing earlier agreements on the participation of French companies in drone production to meet the needs of the Defence Forces of Ukraine.
“We are open to maximum cooperation between Ukrainian and European defense companies to produce everything needed for the front. I am confident that our joint experience and initiatives will enhance the security of the entire Euro-Atlantic region in the future.
Rustem Umerov thanked France and Minister Lecornu for their steadfast leadership and unwavering support for Ukraine.
