Denys Shmyhal: The Government launches a grant program to scale up the production of explosives

The Government has launched a grant program aimed at scaling up the production of explosives within the Brave1 Defense Tech Cluster.

“We are intensifying private sector participation in the development of innovative  defense technologies. The grants will enable companies to establish or expand production facilities, and to procure components, systems, and other resources required for the manufacture of explosives,” said Denys Shmyhal, Minister of Defence of Ukraine.

The Minister of Defence noted that the program includes clear and transparent competition procedures, quality reviews, and product testing.

In total, the Brave1 Cluster has already awarded approximately 560 grants totaling over UAH 2.2 billion. 

“We are continuing these efforts. We are giving new impetus to the development of infrastructure for domestic ammunition production for the Defence Forces and recognize the business sector as one of the key drivers of this process,” summarized Denys Shmyhal.
