Denys Shmyhal: Scaling up Kharkiv Oblast’s experience to strengthen air defense across regions
Minister of Defence of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal visited the Kharkiv Oblast Air Defense Coordination Center, where he chaired a meeting focused on establishing similar air defense coordination centers in the Chernihiv, Poltava, and Zaporizhzhia Oblasts.
“We are strengthening Ukraine’s air defense shield to effectively counter russian terror. During the meeting, several decisions were adopted,” emphasized the Minister of Defence.
According to him, the Coordination Center in Kharkiv Oblast has demonstrated high operational effectiveness. Scaling up this experience to other regions will enable a swift response to threats, better coordination among all forces involved in countering air attacks, and maximum protection of critical infrastructure and civilians.
“Ukraine is consistently strengthening its air defense forces. We are doing everything possible to enhance the resilience of our cities and ensure the safety of our people,” concluded Denys Shmyhal.
