Denys Shmyhal participated in the meeting of the European Group of Five (E5) countries

Ukraine’s Minister of Defence, Denys Shmyhal, took part in a meeting of the European Group of Five (E5) countries – the United Kingdom, Poland, Germany, France, and Italy.
Ukraine’s Defence Minister emphasized the importance of security partnerships with these countries, noting that they have the largest defense budgets in Europe.
Within this international platform, representatives of the countries discussed air defense, joint weapons production, and long-range capabilities. The strengthening of these components has been assigned by Ukraine’s President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
“I am grateful to UK Secretary of State for Defence John Healey for organizing the meeting. I also thank Italian Defence Minister Guido Crosetto for his participation and valuable support,” said Denys Shmyhal.
Ukraine’s Minister of Defence also expressed his gratitude to the E5 countries for productive negotiations and their steadfast support for Ukraine.
