Denys Shmyhal met with the Federal Minister of Finance of Germany to discuss development of joint ventures and strengthening of air defense
Minister of Defence of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal met with Germany’s Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister of Finance Lars Klingbeil.
The parties focused on Ukraine’s needs for financing the production and procurement of weapons.
“The discussion also covered the reinforcement of Ukraine’s air defense. In this context, we greatly appreciate Germany’s commitment to supply two Patriot systems,” emphasized the Minister of Defence.
Another significant topic discussed at the meeting was the development of joint ventures, especially in the production of drones. According to Denys Shmyhal, the parties are also advancing bilateral projects with the German company Rheinmetall.
“We are grateful to Germany for its steadfast support of Ukraine and look forward to continued productive cooperation to ensure the security of all of Europe,” the Minister of Defence stated.
