Denys Shmyhal meets with the UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation

Minister of Defence of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal held a meeting in Kyiv with Her Excellency Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates.  

The Minister of Defence of Ukraine expressed gratitude for the significant humanitarian efforts of the United Arab Emirates. 

“I would like to highlight the vital role of the United Arab Emirates in facilitating the release of Ukrainians from captivity. We deeply value this contribution,” said Denys Shmyhal. 

The parties discussed further steps to advance cooperation between Ukraine and the United Arab Emirates, outlining prospective areas that could attract additional investment. According to the Minister of Defence, such joint projects can enhance the security of both countries and create new development opportunities.

“I am grateful for this visit, for the constructive dialogue, and for the steadfast support of Ukraine from the United Arab Emirates,” said Denys Shmyhal.
