Denys Shmyhal: Germany to supply Ukraine with two more Patriot systems

Ukraine will receive two additional Patriot air defense systems from Germany.

“The importance of their transfer was discussed this week with German Federal Minister of Defence Boris Pistorius,” said Ukrainian Defence Minister Denys Shmyhal.

According to him, in the coming days, the Bundeswehr will deliver additional Patriot launchers as the initial stage. In the second stage, over the next two to three months, further components of the systems will be delivered.

“This is the result of joint efforts by the United States, Germany, and other NATO member states. We are grateful to all our partners involved in this project. More air defense capabilities for Ukraine mean more lives saved,” emphasized Denys Shmyhal.
