Denys Shmyhal discussed strengthening cooperation with Bulgaria’s Minister of Defense
Ukraine’s Minister of Defence Denys Shmyhal held talks with Bulgaria’s Minister of Defense Atanas Zapryanov on the sidelines of the Ramstein meeting.
According to Denys Shmyhal, Ukraine values Bulgaria’s steadfast support, including practical assistance aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
“We discussed the security situation in Europe and the Black Sea. Ukraine stands ready to participate in the trilateral demining initiative to enhance maritime security in the Black Sea,” stated the Minister of Defence of Ukraine.
The parties also addressed the prospects for enhancing military cooperation. According to Denys Shmyhal, Ukraine stands ready to engage in cooperation within the framework of the SAFE project.
“We are interested in advancing cooperation between our defense industries in the spheres of manufacturing and cybersecurity. I express my gratitude to Bulgaria for its solidarity and support,” concluded the Minister of Defence of Ukraine.
