Denys Shmyhal convened meetings with mine manufacturers and on safeguarding defense industry enterprises with air defense measures

The meeting with mine manufacturers was held in line with the President’s directive to ensure the timely and full supply of the Defense Forces’ combat brigades.

“Together with the Deputy Ministers of Defence and representatives of military command, we received briefings on the manufacturers’ needs and the key issues requiring resolution,” said the Minister of Defence.

The military has requested a large number of mines to help deter enemy offensives and to destroy enemy armored vehicles and personnel. According to Denys Shmyhal, the Ministry is ready to provide full support to manufacturers in scaling up and advancing production.

Following the meeting, he assigned a number of tasks. “In the near term, I anticipate changes that will make it possible to adapt production and codification processes with the realities of modern warfare and with the standards of our allies,” the Minister of Defence stressed.

Also today, he held a meeting dedicated to the air defense of defense industry enterprises.

At the meeting with the military and manufacturers, new measures to protect Ukraine’s defense industrial potential were addressed. At the conclusion of the meeting, the Minister issued a series of directives.

“Our goal is to ensure the most conducive and secure environment for the operations of defense companies from Ukraine and partner nations,” said Denys Shmyhal.
