Denys Shmyhal and Mykhailo Fedorov discussed the scaling of successful defense technologies
Key areas of cooperation in the development of defense technologies and innovations were discussed during a meeting between Defence Minister Denys Shmyhal and First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.
Government officials focused on scaling up technologies that have already proven effective on the battlefield, including interceptor drones.
“This technology has made a remarkable breakthrough, and the number of successful shoot-downs of Shahed loitering munitions is rapidly increasing each month. It is important to identify and rapidly scale anti-Shahed solutions. This is a task set by the President,” Denys Shmyhal emphasized.
Discussions also focused on weapons manufacturing and the launch of new capabilities that could alter the dynamics on the front line.
“We are working to streamline the procedures for transferring and writing off drones so that service members can receive what they need without unnecessary bureaucracy,” the Defence Minister added.
Denys Shmyhal thanked Mykhailo Fedorov for the practical cooperation and reaffirmed their commitment to continuing joint efforts.
