Denys Shmyhal and Hanno Pevkur discussed defense cooperation
Ukraine’s Minister of Defence, Denys Shmyhal, held a meeting in Kyiv with Estonia’s Minister of Defence, Hanno Pevkur.
The Minister of Defence of Ukraine expressed gratitude to the people and leadership of Estonia for their significant support to Ukraine in countering russian aggression.
During the talks, the parties addressed issues of bilateral defense cooperation as well as participation in multilateral international projects.
“We highly value Estonia’s leadership role in the IT Coalition. This coalition is a significant instrument for financing the digitalization of the Ukrainian army,” emphasized Ukraine’s Minister of Defence. He also conveyed appreciation to Estonia for its role in training Ukraine’s service members.
Denys Shmyhal briefed the Estonian delegation on the enemy’s further plans, stressing that Ukraine, in coordination with its partners, stands ready to counter them.
“I extend my gratitude to Estonia for its efforts and contribution to our shared success,” emphasized Ukraine’s Minister of Defence.
