Defence Forces expand their arsenal with new Baton Optik drones capable of destroying enemy equipment beyond 30 km
The Defence Forces’ arsenal has been reinforced with fiber-optic-controlled FPV drones featuring a strike range exceeding 30 km. The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has authorized an upgraded version of the Baton Optik strike unmanned aerial system for operational use within the Defence Forces of Ukraine.
Its effective strike range surpasses that of similar multicopters. This enables its use, in particular, against enemy tube artillery, including the 122 mm howitzer 2A18 (D-30) and the 152 mm howitzer 2A65 Msta-B, among others.
Beyond countering enemy artillery, the drone’s combat payload is sufficient to defeat lightly armored vehicles, tactical vehicles, and field fortifications.
The Baton Optik drone features fiber-optic control and video transmission channels that are fully protected against enemy electronic warfare (EW) systems. The drone is equipped with high-performance electric motors, a reinforced frame, and high-capacity batteries.
The upgraded Baton Optik drone remains effective during the day, at night, and in low-visibility conditions.
