Communication on the battlefield: a new training course in Army+
The Army+ app has introduced a new training course, "Fundamentals of Battlefield Communication." The course is delivered by Yevhen Vorobey, commander of the communications platoon of the 241st Separate Territorial Defense Brigade.
This is the fourth course launched in the past two months.
“To date, 12,000 service members have started training in Army+, and 4,000 certificates of completion have been issued. This proves that service members are seeking additional sources of knowledge to acquire new expertise or hone their existing skills. Therefore, we continue to enrich our training platform with relevant materials and plan to do so systematically,” said Kateryna Chernohorenko, Deputy Minister of Defence for Digital Development.
The Communication Course covers the following topics:
• How to communicate via radio to ensure clear understanding: what to say and how to say it?
• What to do to prevent the enemy from 'spotting' your radio station and determining your location?
• How to use a phone on the front line without causing trouble?
• Where and how to place Starlink routers and terminals?
To recap, the first version of the training launched with three courses:
• Overall Training. The course is delivered by Serhii Lipko, an aerial reconnaissance specialist, as well as a special correspondent and host at Army TV.
• Routine Under Field Conditions. The course is delivered by Olena Ryzh, a combat medic and assaulter.
• UAV Fundamentals: An Introduction to Unmanned Systems. The course is delivered by Yurii Cherkashyn, Head of the Experience Scaling Team.
The most popular course is UAV Fundamentals. It is selected 70% more often than any other.
