Can I transfer to another unit? Army+ updates its change-of-duty-station test

The Army+ website has updated its online test to help service members check their eligibility for a change of duty station before submitting a request report.

The test reflects current regulations and covers both transfers between units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard of Ukraine, as well as interagency transfers between the AFU and the NGU.  The test allows service members, before submitting a request report, to assess their chances of a change of duty station, identify potential restrictions, and understand the next steps in the process.

To receive a result, service members only need to answer a few simple questions. If a transfer is possible, the test will outline the next steps. If not, it will explain the reason.

By offering clear and personalized guidance, the updated test enables service members to avoid spending time on request reports that are unlikely to be approved.

The test is available on the Army+ website in the section with useful materials on changes of duty station, via the link.

Updated video guides

In addition to the test, Army+ has updated its video guides. These videos explain the report submission process step by step and offer guidance on avoiding rejection due to documentation errors:

  • guide for transfers from the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
  • guide for transfers from the National Guard of Ukraine;
