August results of the MoD acquisition agencies: hundreds of thousands of UAVs, updated food supplies, rear service property
In August, the Ministry of Defence procured Ukrainian-made weapons and rear service property. Moreover, innovative methods for feeding our military were put in place. This was announced by Deputy Defence Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Klimenkov.
“We have focused our efforts on strengthening the Armed Forces, ensuring they are equipped with all necessary resources and cutting-edge technology. This approach is the sole means by which we can secure the reinforcement of the state's defense capability,” said Deputy Defence Minister Dmytro Klimenkov.
The Defence Procurement Agency of the MoD has contracted over 350,000 UAVs of various types since the commencement of 2024, as of the end of August. Furthermore, active engagement with local weapon manufacturers is underway. Priority is given to drones, electronic warfare (EW) systems, and communications equipment manufactured in the Ukraine.
A new line of field rations is being crafted to accommodate the service members' religious, medical, and ethical needs. The updated line will include vegetarian, kosher, and halal alternatives. This ensures that the service members are supplied with top-quality and diverse meals that meet their specific needs.
28 Ukrainian manufacturers have been newly engaged by the State Operator For Non-Lethal Acquisition (DOT) to deliver rear service property for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Such endeavors aid in fortifying Ukraine's economy and endorsing domestic manufacturers while enhancing the quality of resources for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Ministry of Defence offers transparent and straightforward conditions for becoming a weapon supplier to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Proposals from manufacturers can be sent through the form provided on the Defence Procurement Agency website (https://dpa.mod.gov.ua/commercialoffer_m.html). This helps create an open environment and draw in new partners.
