Army+ Now Offers Online Military Training and New Types of Reports – Kateryna Chernohorenko

The Army+ app has launched an online training service. The app has become the first state platform where verified military training materials are available.

“Training in Army+ will be accessible to every authorized service member. It provides knowledge and practical advice from military experts to help navigate military service and stay safe. In the future, these courses will complement basic training for recruits and help refine practical skills, even in field conditions,” said Kateryna Chernohorenko, Deputy Minister of Defense for Digitalization.

The first version includes three courses, taught by military personnel:

  • General Training by Serhii Lipko, an aerial reconnaissance specialist, special correspondent, and host of Army TV.

  • Life in Field Conditions by Olena Ryzh, a combat medic and assault soldier.

  • Drone Systems: Basics of UAVs by Yurii Cherkashyn, head of the experience scaling group.

Each course consists of several modules divided into lessons. After completing a module, the user takes a short quiz, and at the end of the course, there’s an exam to confirm their knowledge.

"Military training is about continuous improvement. Training and learning every day make us stronger, save the lives of service members, and help them adapt to modern combat conditions. The courses in the Army+ mobile app will provide another source of important knowledge for our defenders, especially regarding the use of modern UAVs," emphasized Colonel Yevhen Mezhevikin, Deputy Head of the General Staff's Main Directorate for Doctrine and Training.

The list of training courses in Army+ will continue to expand. Upcoming topics will include "Battlefield Communication" and "Psychological Preparedness." The launch of the training feature in Army+ was supported by the Better Regulation Delivery Office (BRDO).

Additionally, Deputy Minister of Defense mentioned that five new types of reports are now available in this update:

  • Request for Form 5 certificate

  • Permission to leave the garrison

  • Exemption from duty due to health reasons

  • Payment for signing the first contract

  • Leave after release from captivity

Furthermore, the functionality of reports has been expanded. Now, the initiator can withdraw a report, and commanders can view the previous approver of the report. For example, a company commander can see that the soldier's report has already been approved by the platoon commander and can then make a decision on whether to approve it.

Download the new version of the Army+ app only from the Play Market and App Store. Links are also available on the official app page https://aplus.mod.gov.ua/.
