Army+ has launched a new survey on military uniforms for female and male service members
The Army+ app is surveying the different options available for women’s and men’s military uniforms. The Ministry of Defence is conducting an assessment to determine how well the current military uniforms cater to the preferences and operational needs of both female and male service members.
In November of this year, the Ministry of Defence began testing new samples of women's uniforms, including both demi-season and winter variants. Women's military garments differ from men's in terms of both design and tailoring intricacies. The different forms of clothing are one of the components that promote equality between women and men during military service.
“Both female and male service members should remain focused on their tasks and service responsibilities. If your clothing is uncomfortable and creates difficulties during your service, please share your experience in the new survey. Your feedback will help improve the clothing, making it even more comfortable and practical,” explains Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Dmytro Klimenkov.
The new survey consists of 15 questions. A portion of the questions remains open and is aimed at assessing the current comfort level of military clothing. Service members can also provide suggestions to make the clothing even more comfortable and durable.
“Each survey in Army+ leads to actionable changes within our military. To date, half a million service members have registered in the app. This means we have half a million opinions on making meaningful changes in the army. This represents a tremendous force, where its collective voice today has the power to shape decisions for tomorrow,” said Kateryna Chernohorenko, Deputy Minister of Defence for Digital Development.
The survey began on December 17, targeting men and women separately. It is scheduled to last for 14 days. The results will serve as the foundation for the development of updated clothing models for military personnel and guide future procurement efforts.
