Army corps of the Ukrainian Land Forces roll out the ‘Impulse’ system

The deployment of the ‘Impulse’ official personnel record-keeping system continues within the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the second stage, the system is being implemented across the army corps.

The second phase of the ‘Impulse’ system rollout encompasses over 100 units throughout all army corps. Currently, 40% of the units have already prepared personnel data for uploading into the system.  This marks a key phase before the system becomes fully operational.

The 10th, 18th, and 15th Army Corps are demonstrating the best progress in transitioning to the ‘Impulse.’ The majority of their units have completed preparing the required data to start working in the system.

“We have taken into account the feedback and inconveniences encountered during the implementation of the ‘Impulse’ system in the Air Assault Forces, which is why the transition of the army corps to ‘Impulse’ is progressing faster. This is an important step toward a unified authorized personnel record-keeping system within the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where every decision is based on accurate and comprehensive data,” noted Oksana Ferchuk, Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformation, and Digitalization.

Teams from the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s Center for Scaling Technological Solutions are involved in the deployment. The development team analyzes user feedback and continues improving the system to make it even more user-friendly.

“We were the first among the corps to prepare our data and are ready to transition to daily operations in the ‘Impulse.’ We are implementing a unified, structured, and user-friendly personnel record-keeping system in every unit,” said Lieutenant Colonel Svitlana Lozinska, Chief Specialist of the Administrative Section at the Headquarters of the 10th Army Corps.

Data within the ‘Impulse’ system are securely protected. The system has a clear access control and role management structure, ensuring that each unit operates solely with data concerning its own personnel.

Gradually, ‘Impulse’ will become the core platform for digital personnel record-keeping across all branches and components of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Building on the ‘Impulse’ system, new services will be developed within the Army+ app, the Medical Information System, and other products, forming a unified digital ecosystem for the defense sector.
