Anna Gvozdiar: Ministry of Defence and USUBC expand defense partnership

Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Anna Gvozdiar held a meeting in Kyiv with Irina Paliashvili, President and CEO of U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC). The parties discussed new forms of cooperation and prospects for engaging U.S. defense companies on projects in Ukraine.
The key topic of the talks was coordination for the DFNC3 defense forum in Kyiv, along with the prospect of holding additional events with leading U.S. defense companies—members of USUBC—during the AUSA 2025 exhibition, scheduled to take place in Washington this October.
“The Ukrainian defense industry is open to a new level of partnership with global companies. We see significant potential to deepen cooperation with U.S. defense manufacturers willing to invest in joint projects and help integrate Ukraine into the global defense market,” said Anna Gvozdiar.
The talks confirmed mutual interest in expanding defense-industrial cooperation to bolster Ukraine’s defense and enhance the integration of Ukrainian enterprises into global markets.
USUBC is a business association that brings together over 240 leading international and Ukrainian companies across multiple sectors, including more than 50 defense and dual-use technology manufacturers.
Since 1995, the organization has actively supported the development of economic and investment partnerships between the United States and Ukraine.
