Ammunition supply and military training: Ukraine and Czechia discuss strengthening military cooperation

During his visit to Prague, Ukraine's Defence Minister Rustem Umerov held a meeting with Czech Defence Minister Jana Černochová.
The primary focus of the discussions was the ‘Czech Initiative,’ under which hundreds of thousands of rounds of ammunition have already been supplied to the Ukrainian military. The parties discussed strategies to enhance the effectiveness and increase funding for the Initiative.
Jana Černochová reaffirmed that Czech support for Ukraine will remain steadfast. The Czech side also expressed its ongoing willingness to aid in the training and equipping Ukrainian units in line with NATO standards.
“The Czech Republic was one of the first to offer assistance to Ukraine after February 24, 2022. We will always remember this support!” emphasized Rustem Umerov.
