A total of 2 000 service members have had their transfers between units approved through the Army+ application
In the two and a half weeks since the feature's launch, 8 500 requests for duty station transfer have been processed through the Army+ app, with 2 000 approved.
The duty station transfer feature in the Army+ app eliminates bureaucratic barriers and allows service members to serve where their skills are most needed. The major, irreversible transformation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine into the military of the future through digitalization continues. We have created a tool that helps brigades attract motivated service members. And with each feedback from service members, we will make it more effective,” said Kateryna Chernohorenko, Deputy Minister of Defence for Digital Development.
To submit a report, only a military ID or officer's ID card, along with a recommendation letter from the unit to which a service member wishes to transfer, are required. Additionally, a military medical commission conclusion may be required. For instance, a service member needs a transfer from a combat unit to a rear unit due to medical concerns.
The request must be processed and verified by the Personnel Center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine within a span of 72 hours. A service member is notified of the results through Army+.
To date, 6 500 reports have been rejected, 70% of which were due to the following reasons:
• Poor-quality photocopies of documents;
• Missing photocopies of certain pages from the military document as indicated in the app guidance;
• The letter of recommendation uses an outdated template and lacks complete information about the service member's military record (a new template can be downloaded from the Care for a Service Member platform: https://turbota.mil.gov.ua/raporty/pysmova-zgoda).
If the transfer is approved, the Personnel Center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine issues an order, and a service member receives a notification containing the order number and date. This order is delivered to the military units via the Electronic Document Management System (СЕДО).
