A survey focused on rewarding the capture or destruction of military gear has been introduced in the Army+ app

The Internal Audit Department of Ukraine's Ministry of Defence has rolled out a new survey within the Army+ app.  The Department is assessing whether one of the key social guarantees for military personnel — specifically, rewards for combat achievements — is being effectively fulfilled.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ukrainian military has destroyed more than 100,000 pieces of enemy equipment since the onset of russia's full-scale invasion. Defenders are entitled to a financial reward or additional leave for each piece of equipment destroyed or captured. The survey's primary purpose is to determine whether defenders are aware of their rights, how those rights are implemented in practice, and what potential challenges might arise in their execution.

“As recent months have demonstrated, surveys conducted through the Army+ app have led to changes within the Defence Forces. Through the Army+ app, the military personnel have already shared their feedback on various aspects, such as in-app training, meals, and the possibility of changing their place of service. The results of those surveys were taken into account. We recognize that transforming the system is impossible without incorporating insights from its users. Therefore, we encourage participation in the survey and invite service members to share it with their comrades,” said Kateryna Chernohorenko, Deputy Minister of Defence for Digital Development.

The survey commenced today, November 20, and will remain open for 14 days. Based on the survey's findings, the Department will develop specific measures so that all military personnel can rely on fair remuneration payments and the provision of leave.

The survey's results will guide changes aimed at enabling military personnel to exercise their rights to fair remuneration and leave more effectively, efficiently, and quickly.

“Service members are not always fully aware of their rights or how to exercise them, particularly regarding proper social protection for remuneration and leave related to destroyed or captured equipment. That is why we aim to gather feedback from service members to enhance the implementation of their rights to remuneration and leave,” emphasized Colonel Oleksandr Tytkovskyi, Director of the Internal Audit Department of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
