A Recruitment Center of the Ukrainian Army has been established in Kovel, marking the country's 45th facility of this kind
The Recruitment Center of the Ukrainian Army was opened in Kovel, a city in the Volyn region. This is the second center in the Volyn region and the 45th one throughout Ukraine.
Individuals have the opportunity to obtain comprehensive information and receive consultations at the following address: 22 Drahomanova Street, Kovel.
Non-military recruiters who have undergone special training can also offer consultations by phone: +380 (68) 750 1093. Please note that recruitment information can be obtained anonymously.
“We are actively expanding the network of these centers and plan to open several more across various regions of Ukraine shortly. We are grateful to everyone who has chosen to join the Ukrainian Defence Forces and are making every effort to ensure the process is as accessible and straightforward as possible. Your decision helps bring victory closer,” emphasized Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Brigadier General of Justice Serhii Melnyk.
No call-up papers are handed out in the Ukrainian Army's Recruitment Centers, as regulations explicitly prohibit this. Recruiters guide each individual who wishes to join the Defence Forces along the "recruitment path" and address any potential misunderstandings.
“It is extremely important that individuals can obtain comprehensive information and advice on potential employment in the Ukrainian Defence Forces at the Recruitment Center,” stated Ihor Chaika, Mayor of Kovel.
This is the second recruitment center of the Ukrainian Army that operates in the Volyn Region. The first one opened on October 17 in Lutsk. In total, over 31,000 individuals have already reached out to the network of centers, which has been in the process of being established since February 2024.
“In the 10 months since the Recruitment Centers became operational, many individuals have already joined the Defence Forces. These people went through the recruitment process, including position matching and interviews, and were given a letter of recommendation. We encourage the residents of the community, district, and all of Volyn region to call, reach out via the hotline, or visit us. Victory is forged only through collective efforts,” stated Oleksii Bezhevets, recruitment officer for the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence.
Ukrainians are most interested in vacancies for drivers, medics, UAV operators, and headquarters positions. At the same time, a significant number of individuals wish to join the Defence Forces in combat positions.
“I thank the Ministry of Defence for this noteworthy initiative. Thanks to the Recruitment Center, everyone will be able to find their place in the military and serve in the Defence Forces for victory. I also thank the city for its prompt support of this initiative. The Recruitment Center will serve not only the Kovel district but also the entire Volyn region,” said Olha Cheren, Head of the Kovel District State Administration.
