A newly formed Electronic Warfare Coalition has been launched within the framework of the ‘Ramstein’ format

Today, during the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (UDCG) meeting in ‘Ramstein’ format, Ukraine's Minister of Defence Rustem Umerov and Germany's Minister of Defence Boris Pistorius officially announced the launch of the newly established Electronic Warfare (EW) Coalition.
A total of 10 nations, including Ukraine, joined this significant initiative, signing a collective Letter of Intent that formally initiated the operations of the Electronic Warfare Coalition.
“Electronic warfare is a critically important component of modern warfare. Without effective electronic warfare capabilities, no unit can achieve full combat readiness. The launch of this coalition will enable us to coordinate efforts and comprehensively respond to the needs of our Defence Forces,” said Minister of Defence of Ukraine Rustem Umerov.
According to him, the Coalition aims not only to meet the current electronic warfare needs of the Ukrainian army but also to establish a foundation for the long-term development of these capabilities.
The EW Coalition is the ninth initiative established within the Ramstein format since 2023. The Coalition’s activities will encompass the procurement of equipment, personnel training, and the development of policies and doctrines within the realm of electronic warfare.
