A new survey on combat experience exchange has been launched in the Army+ app
The Army+ app for the military has introduced a new survey focused on sharing combat experience. It was initiated by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense in collaboration with the Directorate for the Study and Implementation of Experience under the Land Forces Command. The survey aims to provide insight into the current experience-sharing mechanisms, assess their effectiveness, and determine which practices should be implemented moving forward.
“The topic of the new Army+ survey once again underscores that changes in the military are inconceivable without the involvement of service members themselves. The acquisition and sharing of combat experience is a domain where the perspectives of our defenders must be prioritized,” said Kateryna Chernohorenko, Deputy Minister of Defence for Digital Development.
The survey will run for two weeks, concluding on 13 March 2025, and consists of 14 questions, with responses expected to take approximately 10 minutes to complete.
“Analyzing combat experience is essential for enhancing the effectiveness of military operations and mitigating risks to personnel. We anticipate that this survey will enable us to identify best practices currently employed across units, as well as highlight challenges that require resolution. The findings will form the foundation for updated approaches to the collection, processing, and dissemination of combat experience among units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” stated Oleh Honcharuk, Acting Deputy Commander of the Land Forces.
To recap this survey is part of the initial series of services introduced through the Army+ application. To date, nine surveys have been conducted, gathering a total of 130,000 responses from military personnel. The tenth survey, currently underway, focuses on the ‘Pluses’ National Support Program for Service Members. It has already garnered significant participation, with an interim result of 38,000 responses, making it one of the most engaged surveys to date.
