A functional efficiency audit is scheduled by the Ministry of Defence, with the support of the accounting firm from the “Big Four”

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Functional Efficiency Audit Support with a major international company belonging to the "Big Four" accounting firms.

The Memorandum was signed by Defence Minister Rustem Umerov and the head of the accounting firm.

As per the agreements, the audit will cover the internal processes of the Ministry, including the roles and tasks of the Defense Minister and his deputies.

Upon completion of the audit, the company will offer specific suggestions for enhancing and refining work processes.

“Improving the transparency and effectiveness of the Ministry of Defence is one of our top priorities. Conducting a functional efficiency audit is a crucial measure to pinpoint areas for improvement and reduce the risk of corruption. There is no room for compromise in ensuring the country's defense capabilities. Efficiency and credibility of our work are key elements on the way to strengthening our defense,” said Ukrainian Defence Minister Rustem Umerov.

The Ministry of Defence is conducting this audit as part of its strategic initiative to boost the transparency and accountability of the MoD in alignment with international governance standards.
