A dedicated commission reviews the submissions of candidates for the new composition of the Public Anti-Corruption Council at the Ministry of Defence
The Commission supporting the competition for forming the Public Anti-Corruption Council (PAC) at the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine held its second meeting.
The primary objective of the routine gathering is to assess the documents submitted by the candidates to ensure they meet the necessary criteria and to allow their participation in the competition.
A total of 42 applications were submitted by representatives of public associations focused on preventing and combating corruption. An independent commission, including representatives from civil society organizations, carefully reviews the submitted documents.
The Commission is set to review the applications by the end of next week.
Based on the Commission's findings, a list of nominees will be compiled to proceed to the next phase – the voting process. Voting identification will be conducted through the Diia portal, allowing all citizens of Ukraine to participate.
A total of 15 candidates with the highest number of votes will be selected for membership in the Public Anti-Corruption Council. The election results will be published on the Ministry of Defence's official website.
The Anti-Corruption Council is established to strengthen public oversight of the Ministry of Defence's activities and assess corruption risks. Its members, who are neither Ministry employees nor military personnel, will have the opportunity to address key concerns and promote transparency in the Ministry's activities.
The newly elected Council Board will serve a term of two years in their positions.
