A Collegial Body on the Development of Logistics Support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine has commenced its work at the Ministry of Defence

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine held the inaugural meeting of the Collegial Body on the Development of Logistics Support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with its composition approved by the relevant order of the Ministry of Defence. 

The Collegial Body will focus on developing, reviewing, and approving technical documentation for non-lethal assets.

It includes representatives from the Ministry of Defence, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Logistics Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense's procurement agency (DOT), specialized research institutions, and others. A distinctive feature of the Collegial Body is the inclusion of representatives from civil society, which will enhance transparency and ensure that the interests of all stakeholders are considered.

“The Collegial Body is expected to become a working team dedicated to enhancing the logistical support for military personnel. We concentrate on the needs of military personnel and the garments and gear that will enhance effectiveness in combat. The provision of supplies to the military must be swift, transparent, and as digitized as possible," emphasized Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Dmytro Klimenkov. "We are building a system that aligns the non-lethal supplies of the Armed Forces with the practices of NATO member states.”

The Collegial Body is expected to become an essential platform for discussing and making decisions that will enhance the non-lethal supply system, implement innovations, and optimize processes in the best interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
