50,000 adaptive clothing items delivered to wounded service members

Units of the Medical Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have begun distributing adaptive clothing items developed at the initiative of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and the Command of the Medical Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The first batches of adaptive clothing have already been delivered to service members undergoing treatment at the military medical facilities of the Medical Forces Command situated near the combat areas of the Sumy, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia Oblasts.

These military medical facilities currently have top-priority status.

In total, 50,000 adaptive clothing items – including specially designed shirts, shorts, trousers, and other garments – have already been delivered to wounded service members.

This will help Ukrainian defenders who have been wounded and are undergoing treatment or rehabilitation feel more comfortable. The adaptive clothing features wider sleeves and trouser legs, textile hook-and-loop fasteners, and additional width-adjustment options. These design elements make wound access easier during treatment.

The initiative is being implemented under the ‘Wounded Warrior Package’ project, which forms part of the broader effort to ensure a barrier-free environment in the defense sector. The Ministry of Defence will continue to build a comprehensive support system for everyone requiring assistance.
