30,000 enemy military personnel eliminated and record Shahed UAV shootdowns: Unmanned Systems Forces results for January
In January 2026, Unmanned Systems Forces units eliminated more than 30,000 enemy military personnel.
All enemy losses have been verified, with every strike backed by video confirmation in the DELTA system. By the end of the month, the special unit “Alpha” of the Security Service of Ukraine led in confirmed engagements with enemy personnel.
Following record losses of russian forces in December, their offensive potential declined in January. At the same time, Ukrainian unmanned systems units maintained a high level of effectiveness.
“Our strategic goal is 50,000 russian service members eliminated per month. The fewer offensive forces the enemy has, the greater the safety for our infantry,” stated Mykhailo Fedorov.
In January, interceptor drone operators also shot down a record number of Shahed-type UAVs, with the NEMESIS unit achieving the highest performance in this segment.
At the same time, the Defence Forces continue to enhance the effectiveness of lower-tier air defense capabilities and, together with international partners, are limiting the enemy’s ability to use Western technologies to carry out attacks on Ukrainian territory.
Another important track is the robotization of hazardous tasks. More than 100 Defence Forces units are conducting missions using ground robotic systems. A total of 7,495 such missions were conducted during the month, averaging 242 missions per day. The 3rd Separate Assault Brigade conducted the highest number of successful robotic operations in January.
