Kateryna Chernohorenko: 12 000 enemy targets are detected by the Ukrainian military weekly with the help of artificial intelligence

Thanks to the Avengers AI platform developed by Ukraine's Ministry of Defence Innovation Center, the Defense Forces automatically detect 12,000 units of enemy vehicles/equipment weekly. This result is achieved through automatic video analysis from drones and fixed cameras.

The AI platform enables operators to make decisions faster and more efficiently, reducing the risk of fatigue-related errors. This integration is already in successful operation within the VEZHA streaming module of the DELTA combat system.

“In terms of the quantity of video data it offers on enemy vehicles/equipment, the Avengers platform developed by the Ministry of Defence's Innovation Center is unparalleled worldwide. Our focus remains on enhancing Avengers and other AI technologies to give our Armed Forces a competitive advantage. Our future strategy includes enhancing the platform's cloud capabilities and integrating AI solutions with drone systems,” said Kateryna Chernohorenko, Deputy Minister of Defence for Digital Development.

The Innovation Center continues to train the AI model of the Avengers platform on new data. This improves the quality of detection of various enemy vehicles/equipment, even in challenging environments, such as tanks camouflaged in forests or IFVs maneuvering on dirt roads.
