10 million euros for "Palyanytsia": Ukraine offered Lithuania a mechanism for financing the production of a drone missile

Литва інвестує 10 мільйонів євро у виробництво ракети-дрона «Паляниця» за прикладом «данської моделі», тобто шляхом прямого фінансування українського виробника.

Lithuania is investing 10 million euros in the production of the "Palianytsia" missile-drone, following the "Danish model" approach, which involves direct funding of a Ukrainian manufacturer.

The financing mechanism for production was discussed during a conversation between Ukraine's Deputy Minister of Defense for European Integration, Serhii Boyev, and Lithuania's Deputy Minister of National Defense, Monika Koroliovienė.

"Developing capabilities to strike enemy targets at long distances is one of Ukraine's priorities. We encourage partners to invest in our own production of long-range weapons. Investments following the 'Danish model' will work much faster, and the enemy will soon see the consequences," said Deputy Defense Minister Serhiy Boyev.

The deputy minister also thanked the Lithuanian side for its leadership within the Demining Coalition and active participation in the Drone Coalition.

"Lithuania remains a committed partner of Ukraine. Our goal is to provide assistance effectively. Investments need to work, so we are seeking the most practical applications for them," assured Lithuania's Deputy Minister of National Defense Monika Koroliovienė.

A visit by Lithuania’s Minister of Defense, Laurynas Kasčiūnas, to Ukraine is expected soon.
