Department of State Secrets Protection
Main tasks:
Developing and implementing measures to ensure the protection of state secrets in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine on state secrets, coordinating and monitoring compliance with these measures;
Ensuring the implementation of state policy in the area of state secrets protection within the Ministry of Defence system, within the powers provided by law;
Protecting restricted NATO information in the Ministry of Defence;
Preventing unjustified admission and access of persons to classified information in the apparatus of the Ministry of Defence;
Preventing the disclosure of classified information, cases of loss of material carriers of this information, and the acquisition of classified information by foreign states, foreign legal entities, foreigners, stateless persons, and Ukrainian citizens who are not granted access to it;
Identifying and closing channels of leakage of classified information in the process of the Ministry of Defence apparatus activity;
Organizing and maintaining of classified records management, records management of NATO material information with restricted access in the apparatus of the Ministry of Defence.
