Department for Interaction with Government Authorities

Main tasks: 

  • Ensuring that the Minister of Defence of Ukraine exercises his powers as a member of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and facilitating the development of state policy in interaction with the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, and central executive authorities regarding the presentation and support of legislative and regulatory acts developed by the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine; 

  • Organizing, coordinating, preparing, and compiling materials for the leadership of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine for participation in meetings of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, government committees, committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, parliamentary factions (groups), committee and parliamentary hearings, and plenary sessions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine; 

  • Ensuring interaction between the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and the Apparatus of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, secretariats of the committees of the Verkhovna Rada, the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, relevant structural units of the Office of the President of Ukraine, and central executive authorities regarding the monitoring of the progress of regulatory acts on defence matters and the functioning of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Special Transport Service; 

  • Collaborating with structural units of the Ministry of Defence and other military management bodies to develop speech notes, informational reference materials, and summaries regarding the approval of legislative and other regulatory acts.
