Anatolii Klochko

Anatolii Klochko was born in Kharkiv on May 4, 1963.

In 1985, he graduated from the Saratov Higher Military Command and Engineering School of Missile Forces.

In 2003, he earned a degree from the National Defence Academy of Ukraine, qualifying as an officer in military command at the operational and tactical level.

In 2019, he graduated from the National Defence University of Ukraine, specializing in public management and administration, becoming a defense professional and an officer at the operational and strategic level.

Anatolii Klochko began his career in 1985 as a launcher crew lead and, by 1998, had risen to commander of a separate missile and artillery brigade in the Ukrainian Navy.

From 1998 to 1999, he served as the Commander of the 6th Separate Coastal Missile and Artillery Brigade of the Ukrainian Navy.

From 1999 to 2004, he served as the Commander of the 459th Missile Brigade of the 8th Army Corps of the Northern Operational Command.

From 2004 to 2005, he served as the Commander of the 26th Artillery Brigade of the 8th Army Corps of the Northern Operational Command.

In 2005, he was discharged from active duty and transferred to the reserves.

In 2015, he was called to military service during the third wave of mobilization.

Between 2015 and 2017, he held the position of Head of the Missile and Artillery Training Department of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Between 2017 and 2018, he was the Head of the Department and Deputy Head of the Missile and Ammunition Supply Directorate at the Central Missile and Artillery Directorate of the Armament Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

From 2018 to 2020, he held the position of Head of the Central Missile and Artillery Directorate of the Armament Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

From 2020 to 2022, he held the position of Head of the Central Directorate for the Provision of Combat Assets at the Armament Service of the Logistics Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

From 2022 to 2024, he served in the military unit A0515.

Anatolii Klochko holds a PhD in Public Administration, specializing in national security and defense. 

In 2023, he became a laureate of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Prize for the Development and Implementation of Innovative Technologies.

In 2021, he became a laureate of the ‘Golden Fortune’ Contest in the ‘Best Unit Commander’ category.

In 2023, he was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, 3rd Grade.

On July 5, 2024, Anatolii Klochko was appointed Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
