Main Inspectorate
Main tasks:
Overseeing compliance within the Ministry of Defenсe system with the requirements of the laws of Ukraine, acts of the President of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, orders and directives of the Ministry of Defence, and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on national security in the military and defense sectors; ensuring, within the powers provided by law, democratic civilian oversight of the activities of the Armed Forces and the State Special Transport Service;
Ensuring, within the powers provided by law, the implementation of state policy on defense matters related to the use of Ukrainian airspace and the protection of state sovereignty;
Monitoring the proper and effective use of defense resources, and the comprehensive provision of the Armed Forces and the State Special Transport Service;
Monitoring the staffing levels of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, their equipment with modern weapons, military and special equipment, material reserves, and readiness to carry out designated tasks in peacetime and special periods, providing reasoned proposals to resolve any existing issues;
Exercising oversight of the flight safety in the Armed Forces aviation, conducting technical investigations of aviation incidents;
Control over compliance with the requirements for the quality of training of military specialists to meet the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
Organizing measures to improve internal control and risk management coordination within the Ministry of Defence.
