Department of Missile Armament Development and Missile Defense Systems
Main tasks:
Participating in programming, short-term planning, and developing of draft state targeted defence programs;
Developing and overseeing the implementation of programs and projects for the development and modernization of weapons and military equipment (WME) based on accepted defence management principles, managing the life cycle of WME in line with the Department's activities, and managing risks at all stages of implementation;
Coordinating scientific research and experimental development work on the design (modernization) of WME in accordance with the needs identified by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
Organizing state and other testing, as well as the adoption of WME into service by the Armed Forces;
Coordinating within its powers the acquisition of WME as international military assistance to monitor the implementation of relevant programs and projects;
Organizing military-technical cooperation with foreign states and international organizations in the interest of equipping the Armed Forces, in line with the Department's activities.
