Department of Humanitarian Support
Main tasks:
Implementation of state policy measures on national security in the humanitarian sphere regarding:
The development of culture and spirituality within the Armed Forces, military-patriotic education of citizens, implementation of state policy on strengthening Ukrainian national and civic identity, basic training of Ukrainian citizens for national resistance, and military-historical work;
Ensuring the constitutional right of citizens to freedom of thought and religion, and facilitating cooperation between the Ministry of Defence and religious organizations to satisfy the religious needs of believers serving in the Armed Forces;
Providing equal rights and opportunities for women and men, preventing and combating gender-based violence;
Coordinating the activities of temporary consultative and advisory bodies: the Public Council at the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and the Interfaith Council on Military Chaplaincy at the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
