Department for the Prevention and Detection of Corruption
The department monitors compliance with anti-corruption legislation within the Ministry of Defense.
Main tasks
The main tasks of the Department for the Prevention and Detection of Corruption include:
- Ensuring the implementation of the state program for executing the Anti-Corruption Strategy in the activities of the Ministry of Defence, the Armed Forces, and the State Special Transport Service;
- Developing, organizing, and controlling the implementation of measures to prevent corruption and related offenses;
- Assessing corruption risks, preparing measures to eliminate them, and developing the Anti-Corruption Program;
- Providing methodological and consultative assistance in the anti-corruption sphere;
- Verifying the submission of asset declarations by public officials;
- Monitoring compliance with anti-corruption legislation, identifying and resolving conflicts of interest;
- Exercising powers in the area of whistleblower protection in accordance with the law;
- Conducting special checks on candidates for positions of responsibility or high responsibility;
- Informing the Minister about violations of anti-corruption legislation, identified risks, and ways to eliminate or minimize them;
- Participating in information support and international cooperation in these areas;
- Organizing the work of subordinate territorial units.
